Vegeterian Tips: Eat a dark green vegetable broccoli, spinach, kale, collard greens at least three times a week. These nutritional powerhouses are packed full of vitamins such as calcium and iron. Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 2 ripe pears
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1 tablespoon vegan sugar
- pinch of grated lemon and orange rind
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions:
Peel, core and halve pears lengthwise. In a medium
size saucepan, combine all the ingredients; bring
to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15
minutes or until pears are tender. This can be
served warm over pancakes or waffles.
